You know how a few weeks ago it was the pre-E3 drought? This week saw the beginning of the post-E3 drought, and boy are we thirsty. We're actually thinking of sacking BearTank and getting a camel tank.

Enough of the over-extended metaphors. The only interesting news this weekend was that the folks over on the NeoGAF forums managed to run Super Mario Galaxy on an emulator, effectively running the game in HD. My god, I wish Nintendo would stick a fucking HDMI port in the back of that white box because even with the low res textures Galaxy looks amazing in HD. Click the link below for a comparison shot.

The only other story of interest is the fact that the states are getting a new PS3 bundle. I hear you yawn, but yawn no more! The fact of the matter is that this is a good bundle. As in, suspiciously good. Not only do you get the 80GB console and a Dualshock 3, but also get two of the best games on the system, Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4. All for the price of the console itself. This points to two things- Sony are clearing out stock and are probably therefore making room for the rumoured PS3 slim. But even if you buy this pack and they then announce the slim, you're not exactly going to be bitter about your two free games. Well played Sony, well played.
